Dr. P.C. Markanda was one of India’s most respected arbitration lawyers and is often referred to called the Father of Indian Arbitration. With decades of experience, he led high-stakes arbitrations spanning construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, joint ventures, and commercial contracts.

A pioneer in the field, he brought clarity, structure, and practicality to arbitration in India. His deep grasp of both law and industry enabled him to work closely with businesses, tribunals, and institutions, setting benchmarks that continue to guide the profession today.
